Multi-genre, cross-studio projects – Unreal Engine 5
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with multiple studios to identify and extract engine code and plugins that can be standardised and shared across projects.
- Integrate shared code and plugins into a centralized test environment to ensure stability and functionality.
- Develop and maintain validation pipelines for shared engine code, including automated testing and build processes.
- Support studio teams in implementing shared plugins and engine modifications within their projects.
- Perform engine optimizations, debugging, and provide technical solutions to complex low-level issues.
- Enhance and maintain production environment tools, such as optimizing build systems and workflows.
- Provide hands-on support for studios during game development, offering guidance on performance profiling and technical optimisation.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong professional experience with Unreal Engine 4/5 and a proven track record of contributing to shipped titles.
- Advanced C++ programming skills with a deep understanding of engine architecture.
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills, capable of collaborating across diverse teams and disciplines.
- Analytical problem-solver with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing technical challenges.
- Self-motivated and organised, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
- Passionate about technical development and continuous learning in software engineering.
